Emily's 2 Month Checkup
Totally forgot to update when I said I would, but better late than never! Here are Miss Em's 2 month stats:
Height: 23 1/2 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 13 lb. 3 oz (95th percentile)
As you can see, she is a big girl! Even through her being sick all last month, girlfriend never lost her appetite! The appointment went well and Emily is healthy as can be. She did scream during her vaccinations, which is to be expected. I gave her tylenol the rest of the day to keep her comfortable and she was a bit extra fussy that evening. However, she was back to her normal self by the next day. Her pediatrician did put her on Zantac for her acid reflux. We started it yesterday morning and have already seen good results! She is much happier after eating and she is spitting up a little less often. So long as Miss Emily stays healthy, we are clear now until her 4 month checkup. More updates to come!

Life
Time seems to be going even faster than I thought possible now that we have 3 kids. I usually do not stop moving from 6:30 am when the kids wake up until 7:30 pm when Eve and Cole go to bed, and only then can I can sit down and take a breather with Miss Emily until she goes to bed around 10:00 pm. But I love it and would not change it for the world! My heart feels so completely full now that our family is complete.
Thought it was time to do an update on how all the kids are doing. I'll start with my baby girl Eve (who will always be my baby no matter how old she is!). Girlfriend is turning 6 in two weeks...ack! She has grown up so much in the last several months since starting kindergarten. She recently learned to count to 100 and is actually now reading...craziness! She is so artistic and is always drawing and creating things. She is also a perfectionist and extremely competitive, just like Chris. This has its good sides and its bad sides! On the plus side, she is very motivated and does great in school. But she also beats herself up for the tiniest mistakes and gets upset if she doesn't live up to her own standards. It is hard to watch, but overall she is such a bright, happy girl. Current loves include: Monster High dolls, Spiderman, sparkly clothes, popsicles, chik fil a chicken nuggets, and sleeping on the top bunk of her and Cole's new bunkbeds!
Onto my little guy Cole. Or should I say big guy? Despite being 2 years younger than Eve, he is nearly as tall as her and actually weighs 2 lbs more than her! Cole has also changed so much since he started his second year of preschool. He is talking all the time now, though we still have problems with articulation and pronunciation. He can now write his name and has met all of the goals that his teachers and I set for him back in September! Our biggest issue that we are working on is that Cole seems to have auditory processing disorder, which is a common side issue with autism. Basically it means that although he hears us, he doesn't really process what we are saying alot of the time. We have to make an effort to keep questions short and to the point because otherwise we lose him after the first couple words. He is still my little cuddly guy and almost always has a smile on his face. Current loves include: Spiderman, Sonic the Hedgehog, video games, cheeze-its, suckers, and following Eve all over the place.
Last but not least is my sweet baby girl, Emily. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that she is already 10 weeks old! We actually go in for her 2 month checkup and shots today so I'll update with her size stats later this evening. Poor Em has had a rough go of it up until about a week or two ago. She spent the entire month of January very sick and miserable. What started as a bad cold actually ended up turning into pneumonia. She would have these terrible choking fits several times a day where she would actually turn blue around her mouth and stop breathing for a few seconds. It was some of the most scary and stressful weeks of my life. In fact, I'm pretty sure I aged 10 years in those few weeks! After finally going on a very strong antibiotic, things started to clear up and she is finally a happy and healthy baby again. Praise God! Emily is also already sleeping through the night! Eve and Cole did not sleep through the night until they were nearly a year old, so this is just amazing to me. She goes to bed around 10 pm and then I actually have to wake her up around 6:30 am. We will eventually move her bedtime earlier, but for now I'm not messing with a good thing!
